The University of South Carolina announced the state winners for the Literacy and Education segment of the "Read with the Gamecocks" reading program.  Bluffton ECC and Bluffton Elementary had 3 state winners: Congratulations to Hope Homa, Hanna Homa and Alexis Tomlin!   The girls will be announced at the Literacy and Education game on February 14, 2010.

Hope Homa, Mrs. Joanne Sistrunk's class, is the winning first grade reader for the Literacy and Education segment of the "Read with the Gamecocks" reading program. 

Hanna Homa, Mrs. Liza Theiling's class, is the winning third grade reader for the Literacy and Education segment of the "Read with the Gamecocks" reading program.

Alexis Tomlin,  Ms. Mary Baker's class, is the winning fourth grade reader for the Literacy and Education segment of the "Read with the Gamecocks" reading program.

Hope, Hanna, and Alexis will be recognized in the Literacy and Education series of the Dawn Staley "Reading Heroes" comic book.
